Karachi Tile Market (KTM) started its journey in 1953 under the visionary leadership of Mr. Akber Ali Ladiwala, who traveled from Bombay to Karachi. Pioneer in introducing luxurious lavatory concept in Pakistan, had acquired agencies of premium European brands like Grohe, Inda and MLF Germany.

As the business grew, his son Mr. Murtaza Ali joined him on this quest and opened a new showroom in Clifton in 1996. With new blood come new ideas, Mr. Mohammad Abbas s/o. Mr. Murtaza Ali joined him after completing MBA in 2004. Being a visionary person he soon recognized the ever growing demand of construction industry and purchased a land to build a new grand outlet in Defence phase 6.
KTM Defense was inaugurated in 2008, a showroom with all facilities from sale to after sales and from bathroom to kitchen under one roof. Realizing the need for quality sanitary fittings with economy, the brand named Silver was introduced in 2010 to cater the middle socio economic group of the country.
Quest for quality, technology and economy continues and silver converted into Zilver in 2013. Offering a high quality of faucets, showers and accessories for bathroom and kitchen, now Zilver is stepping on a ladder of success with wide acceptability in commercial and residential projects and has become a national brand.
Market demand and wide acceptability compelled KTM to expand its wings and a showroom was opened in Lahore to cater Punjab market that leads to an office and showroom in Islamabad. KTM has also been a member of “Karachi chamber of commerce” from past 45 years and an active member of ABAD.
